Dr Joyce Wamoyi joins PLH as the Tanzania lead researcher for the ParentApp-Teens RCT to prevent violence against children in Tanzania. Dr Wamoyi is also leading the project on Building a national parenting support system for scaling evidence-based parenting interventions in Tanzania. She has previous experience in: Parenting interventions and child outcomes; Prevention of violence against Children; Social and behavioural determinants of Adolescents and Young people’s Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH); Structural drivers of HIV risk; and Sexual and gender-based violence. She is a member of the: WHO Behavioural Insights Technical Advisory Group; and UNICEF Advisory Board for the multi-country project “Children’s Experiences and Perspectives of Covid-19, and restrictions related to it.
