Dr Ruben Parra Cardona
Rubén Parra-Cardona, Ph.D., is Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Global Engagement at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. His research is focused on the cultural adaptation of evidence-based parenting interventions for Latinx populations in the US and Latin America. His studies have been funded by the National Institute of Mental Healht and the National Institute on Drug Abuse. He has extensive experience on US-Mexico research collaborations. Currently, he is Co-Principal Investigator of a large-scale parenting prevention initiative in Chile funded by the San Carlos de Maipo Foundation and the Chilean government.
