Saara Thakur serves PLH Scaling for Impact and Strategic Partnerships Manager. Saara provides technical expertise to international governments, UN agencies, NGOs, and local partners in scaling technology-enabled, evidence-based parenting programmes in low- and middle-income countries through her role with the Global Parenting Initiative and as a consultant with PLH. As part of PLH’s Strategic Partnerships team, she also supports in crafting sustainability strategies to keep these efforts thriving.
She holds a Master’s in Public Health with a specialisation in global health and violence prevention. She has been with PLH and the University of Oxford for over five years and previously worked with WHO Headquarters and the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children.
When she’s not strategising global partnerships, you’ll find Saara indulging in her two great loves: food and travel. She’s eaten her way through 55 countries and spends a lot of time watching obscure travel shows to plan her next feast. Originally from New Delhi, she now calls London home—at least when she’s not off chasing her next adventure.
